About the author
David Vanheeswijck builds AI systems for a living. He is the co-founder of Hiveras, an AI collective where he and Dennis Bellinkx design autonomous agents and automation for businesses, and an independent consultant with deep roots in AI, web development, data architecture and design. He works with real AI every day, orchestrating fleets of agents that research, write and ship work with little that is human in the loop. The book is written from that vantage point.
He is not an economist, and he does not pretend otherwise. He is a practitioner who watches the automated economy’s implications arrive inside his own tools, week by week, long before they surface in any policy paper. Not theory observed from a distance but a diagnosis written from the ground floor, by someone who builds the very machinery the argument is about.
He lives in Zonhoven, in the Flemish countryside. By day he is a principal software engineer working on the systems behind customs and trade.
